Proto.in (a biannual event showcasing 15 startups) is coming to Bangalore in January. I have been sporting a Proto.in T-shirt for long (thanks to Piyush) and I wish that someday, I’ll also attend it in person.
Anyone knows if there is any plan for holding it in Pune?

There are definite plans to host it in Pune sometime. I’m personally a big believer of the startup community out there in Pune. The next one is planned in Mumbai, but after that want to do it in Pune. Lets see how it works out.

I understand. Pune startup community is active and large but still far smaller than the one at some other cities in India. So, it makes sense to first hold Proto.in in other cities.
At the same time, (I believe) events like Proto.in also act as catalysts in startup environment. So, will look forward to it in Pune…
